All those who acknowledge freedom should understand what this day truly means. It means we as a nation should honor those who fought and died for this Country, not just in the recent wars but all the way back to the American revolution. We cannot consecrate the ground they died on, because they gave their last measure of devotion for us, and in doing so hallowed it. So we give thanks to the many who died so the many more may live free. Freedom is truly not free, it has a heavy price and we are grateful for those who were willing to pay that price for us
