| Me describiría a mi mismo como | I'm just a simple guy who likes simple things. The best things in life are simple my folks used to say. Grew up on a dairy farm, went to california when at the age of 14. Stayed for high school, college and 6 years of the marine corps. Lived, worked and played in the city. Now I'm back in the county and will never leave. If the life of simple is not for you then don't bother. The country girls will understand this, except for the ones who like to drink the city poision. Thats your choice and I wish you well. If only all could know what it is like to go to bed and wake up with all the windows wide open. The only use for air conditioning is giving a home sick building syndrome and preventing heat stroke for the old. If only all could know what it is like to have coffee on the screened porch in the morning and listen to the fishing boats go by. If only all could know other noises as a norm like birds, wind, rain and bass breaching the surface of the lake in the still of night. If only all could know the smell fresh air, coffee, biscuits, gravey and the remnants of an old wood fire on the patio. To see trees, hickory, red and white oak, maple, hemlock and elm in each direction one looks. Eastern red ceader grows like weeds. These are just a few of the sounds, smells and sights of my everyday at home. I hate to leave it and feel instantly renewed when I pull back in the driveway. I can be alone for days and weeks and not miss a thing. |
